Great advice! For me, every job, internship and grad offer I ever got was directly or indirectly as a result of starting my own business aged 18. It wasn't a fancy business but it taught me a LOT of transferrable skills and really made my CV stand out from the crowd. Worth the 3 hours sleep a night and, 10 year later, it still comes in handy. Big believer in following an unconventional path and it turns out recruiters are too.
